Jovito's in Kansas City is a hidden gem that you absolutely should not miss if you're a fan of hearty, delicious Italian food. Their menu boasts a variety of mouth-watering options including Meatball Grinders, Italian steak sandwiches, Paninis, Savory Pastas, and Fresh Salads. Let's talk about their Meatball Grinder - it's hands down one of the best I've ever had in Kansas City. The photos alone will make your mouth water, but trust me, the real thing is even better. Every element of this sandwich is perfection: the bread is perfectly toasted with a perfect crunch, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the meatballs are tender and seasoned to perfection. It's truly the total package. Beyond the Meatball Grinder, Jovito's menu is filled with other delightful options that cater to various tastes. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty Italian steak sandwich, a crisp and fresh salad, or a savory plate of pasta, they have something to satisfy your craving. Convenience is also a top priority at Jovito. They offer carryout, online ordering, and delivery, making it easy to enjoy their delicious offerings from the comfort of your home. They do not have a liquor license but you can get beer or wine right next door and they welcome you bringing your own. So if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check out Jovito's. Don't pass it by - your taste buds will thank you!

Still putting out delicious Italian dishes to go. You can also eat on the front patio or back porch. The Tony's Italian Beef sandwich is tasty and perfectly cooked. The large Italian salad is packed full of delicious deli meets and cheeses along with those leafy greens to keep you healthy. Don't forget to call ahead and don't mind the construction out front, park in the big lot in the back and walk up the cute alleyway. They are always friendly and fast.

The cheese lasagna with sauce is delicious! I get it delivered for lunch often. Comes with a roll and butter. There is a meat sauce option, I haven't tried that yet because I'm just obsessed with my original order. If you have a sweet tooth like me, a fresh brownie from here is rich and chocolatey heaven!

We ordered Jovito's to be delivered having never visited before. There were tons of options that sounded incredible, and we ended up with two Panini's and one grinder. my sister and I subbed the chips for Parmesan potatoes and my mom ordered a side salad as well. Each of the sandwiches was delicious, especially my chicken pesto sandwich. I'm pretty picky about chicken on sandwiches and hate when chicken is even remotely rubbery, but this was very good. I was a little disappointed that the Parmesan potatoes were, in fact, just tots with Parmesan cheese on top. I was hoping for something more like fingerling potatoes, and I wouldn't have paid the charge if I knew this was the case. My mom side salad was excellent with a ton of delicious toppings. Overall while our food was very good, I don't think I would justify paying over $80 for a meal like this again.

I went to try a grinder but I ended up having the eggplant pasta dish the eggplant was fantasticly cooked perfectly not greasy oily or mushy like it can get. My friend had the Alfredo with the fried shrimp the Alfredo sauce was fantastic and I like the little fried shrimpies. They had a nice selection of half bottles of wine and lots of beverages to choose from note that all the food is served in a to-go container as they do not have any indoor seating or table service. They do have some great patio seating out front and some really great patio seating in the back in the parking lot it was nice and not a bad place to eat and then the servings are large enough that they're already ready to go in your to go container! I definitely need to get back and try the grinders.

Food was amazing as usual. Every time I come here I try something different and let me tell you I'm never disappointed. The Po Boy is so delicious the shrimp is perfectly cooked with a nice crispy exterior. The house sauce that they put on is really delicious but there wasn't much on there so next time I'll just ask for extra but other than that it's amazing. The Parmesan tots good as well. Service is also good everything came out piping hot. The outside ambiance kind of reminds me an old school mafia scene perfect for a nice day.

So. Damn. Good. The grinders. The Italian beef. The calzones. The salads. The sweet treats. The tiny bottles of wine. The family size meals of chicken Alfredo. ALLOFIT. Too good even. Suspiciously good. Normally take it to go but love popping in the shop to pick up. They are the friendliest people and I want them to adopt me.

I simply do not know what I have been doing with my life before finding Jovito's. Imagine this: Cute, authentic Italian joint, kinda small, but feels like home. You walk in, you're greeted by the owner. He's smiling. He gives you amazing recommendations. It's your first time in. You end up getting the most amazing, warm, toasty cheesy sub and some lil cookies. Then...you go sit outside in 70 degree weather and...simply just enjoy your sub. The tables have trivial pursuit cards too which is honestly a vibe. Everything feels right in the world when you're at Jovito's. If you want your body to naturally produce serotonin, come here. Sit outside and eat a sub on a nice day.

I can't remember where I first saw a picture of a Jovito's sandwich, but the minute I did I knew I had to sample some food from this place. When my husband's birthday rolled around and we were both working from home he asked if there were any new sandwich shops that we could try out for a fun working lunch. I showed him one picture from this Yelp page he couldn't wait. When we got to the restaurant we realized there is no indoor seating as it's SMALL and it was frankly too hot to eat outside on this sunny June afternoon, so we waited and pick up our sandwiches to go. When you walk into Jovito's you get that magical vibe that exists in small mom and pop shops that perfectly blends oldschool hospitality, with no frills tasty food. It's incredibly charming inside, chock full of mementos, one small counter to order at, and a cold case with a surprisingly good variety of sodas and other cold beverages to enjoy with your meal. The folks inside that helped us out where incredibly kind and while I was waiting I remember seeing a regular come in and seemingly pick up a conversation with the staff that perhaps they had been having for years. I love that kind of vibe in a little hole in the wall such as this. The sandwiches were hefty when I got our bag and stayed warm on the way home. We each had half of each others to sample a few different things and they were nothing short of INCREDIBLE. 10/10 will be going back. I'm not sure how I didn't know about Jovito's before but I'm saddened by the time I spent not eating here. Just go. Get an Italian beef sandwich. Enjoy.
